Minutes from June were read from copies provided. Minutes were accepted.

Elections

Chair -No takers for Chair.  This needs to be resolved soon.
Treasurer – Liz Dobinson
Secretary – Anne Ververs

Treasurers Report

$909.67
$500 will be sent to cover buses for Terry Fox run as soon as requisition forms are filled out.

Student Report

Terry Fox coin drive ends tomorrow.
Bus Driver Appreciation day – cards and gift certificate for each driver.
Magazine Campaign – ends Friday – please encourage sales.
Halloween Dance – Oct. 26 need supervisors.
Activities on Oct. 31.
Student Fees - There was confusion about student fees, it was understood that $80 covered all fees but there is still a dance fee.
Website – needs to be updated. Dan Macdonald will report on the website next meeting.
Signs are needed at the door to direct people to the office.
August 28 – parents and students expected to get lockers in August – students expected to at least come into the building and were disappointed.
Dan Clement passes on a congratulations to the high school for their enthusiasm and participation.

Staff Report

Alicia MacDonald replacing Heather Lagace.
Sandy Georgy-Jenkinson starts maternity leave next week.

Principal’s Report

Field trip report was submitted and passed around.
Fund Raising Plan was submitted.
PRO Grants – Parents Reaching Out Grants
Credit Accumulation statistics Report was passed out and discussed.
It was noticed that our percent of students having 5 or less credits is very low especially compared to the board.

Other Items

Hopefully the same electoral party winning will benefit SERVE’s presentations.
Cards signed at the fair will be passed on to the proper places.
Cards to be mailed will be placed at various business locations.

• Please attend Oct. 16th in Midland concerning the Capital Strategic Plan.
  
• Business cards are made and need to be distributed.
